A few months ago, I was contacted by a fellow music lover about a talented young man in London, England that was planning to come and tour in North America. Not known over on this continent, it was vital to get the word out about his music to develop a successful tour for him.
I listened to a couple of his Youtube Videos, “Falling in Love for the Last Time” and “How To Be”. Instantly loved his sound. Thanks Sheila!!
He was adding friends to his Facebook account and I was lucky enough to be able to chat with him a few times before his tour started. Thanks for the chats Lee 🙂
As soon as tickets became available for his Vancouver Show, I grabbed one. I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to see him in person and hear more of his songs.
Finally, 4 months later, April 10th arrived and I was on my way to Vancouver from the island. Theresa graciously offered to let me crash at her place (Thanks Theresa!) and we headed over to The Backstage Lounge for dinner and to hang out until Lee’s show started.
Lee arrived and hung out and relaxed with his two friends Rob and Keith after speaking to us all for a few minutes. The sound man arrived around 8ish and they started to set up.
I find Lee to be a wonderful entertainer. A great mix of personality, a talent for painting pictures with words and the lyrical voice to bring those pictures to life.
He made eye contact with the audience, told stories and joked around, and sang as if the room was packed.
I sincerely enjoyed speaking with Lee and Rob and had a great chat with Keith! I am sincerely hoping that Lee is able to return to Vancouver soon to give more people the opportunity to see him on a stage.
It was a great night, full of music, laughter and fun. Thanks Mandy, Amy and Theresa for being there. I hope we do it again soon!
